- Defining characteristics
- Polarized individuals choose the evidence that speaks to their politics. Prevention is being defined at individual levels as well as by powerful corporations driven more by profit than population health. Prevention will be defined differently based on the person, group, etc defining it - influenced by culture, SES, etc.
- Central theme
- Instead of public health, it is becoming self-centered health.
- The new normal
- products/interventions being offered to you by companies that have info about you that you didnt know that those companies have about you. Normal for someone to call you up having knowledge of your personal health information (that you may or may not even have yourself).
- Broken assumption
- Data privacy, power, importance, relevance still exist. We could understand efficacy of interventions based on public health data
